Adobe Reader 9.1 and Acrobat 9.1 have been released. This is to fix a critical security vulnerability.

For more details plus links to the various Acrobat updates see Adobe Security Advisories - Security Updates available for Adobe Reader 9 and Acrobat 9

Can you point to a link which omits "Acrobat.com on Adobe AIR" from the download, to save me having to uninstall it? (I can't find one, honest!)

    Thanks!

The download available from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloa...jsp?ftpID=3970 is only 16.3MB as opposed to the 41.1MB download from the main Adobe Reader page. This may be what you want though I have not tried it.

Hei. I have Adobe reader 8.1.3, English language. Should I update this to 9.1 and if so do I need to delete the AD8 first or will your link simply do the 'run' update to 9.1?

Adobe Reader 9 has some nice interface improvements (and presumably security enhancements).
If I remember correctly, the installation procedure will remove previous versions.

Thanks Hans. I used this link provided by 'Pilgrim' (thanks) and it seemed to download OK and update version 8 to 9.1

Tony's link looked promising, but after going through the usual hoops and selecting English (UK) and Windows XP SP3, I was presented with a download of the full 41.1 MB

So Pilgrim's link wins, and worked well. Can you say how/where you found it, for 'next time', please?

    Thanks to you both!

But BATcher, how about some creative FTP-ing?

BTW if you can live with a Swedish version, it comes without the AIR and other gizmos, it seems.

(Hint: start with ftp dot (full stop, period, whatever) then company name etc. go looking for PUB.)

Adobe's web site is so bad I've gotten in the habit of looking at MajorGeeks.com - Download Freeware and Shareware Computer Utilities. as a starting point.
