    I'm afraid I'm repeating myself as I think I asked this before. How can I set up paths to the backend tables such that it automatically goes to the backend located in the same folder? As it is now, every time I move the db between different computers I have to reset the links as they are absolute rather than relative.

    Thanks Hans. As I mentioned earlier I thought I remembered setting up the linking procedure before (a couple years ago), but it wasn't working. To my embaressment I discovered that the code was there all the time! My error was that I had mistakenly entered a space in the backend file name just before the .mdb. Thus, the code couldn't find the file. Dumb Me!
    Thanks anyway, and the code was much the same as you had referenced. It works perfectly.
