Can I download something to 'update' XP Home to run as the Host for MS's Remote Desktop?

Or am I just asking for trouble?

    Details:
I have Win XP-SP2 Home on my Desktop - it has cable modem. Not sure what is on the Lenovo Laptop that connects with a shared DSL line...

If it has XP Pro on it, then I might be able to use it as the Host... not sure how the power down / sleep feature would affect operation or reliability.

Thanks! MS's instructions & help are confusing.

Remote Desktop host is NOT supported in XP Home. You might consider something such as Ultra VNC : Remote Support Software, Remote Support tool, Remote Desktop Control, Remote Access Software, PC Remote Control or SourceForge.net: TightVNC. Both are and work well with XP.

I find that the solution provided for free by logmein.com works great for everything I want to do.
