    I have posted a flash movie on a page. Using Frontpage when I try to insert some text below the movie, the text will not appear on the page when I preview it.

    Apparently the posting of the movie takes over the page and you can't add anything else.

    Is there some code you can add that will allow text on the page?

    Thanks.

    http://www.moravian.k12.pa.us/development/...o/Ball2009.html

    Above is the link to the page.

    This is a work in progress so suggestions would be appreciated. I want to put some text in the border areas.

    No problems about work in progress :-)

    In your code you have embedded the flash movie like so:

    [codebox]
    <p align="center">
    <embed src="Ball2009_files/ball2009.swf" quality="high"
    pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
    play="true" loop="true" scale="showall" wmode="window"
    devicefont="false" bgcolor="#ffffff" name="Ball2009" menu="true"
    allowfullscreen="false" allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" salign=""
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" align="middle" height="480">
    </p>
    [/codebox]

    You have nested the code with p tags and aligned it in the centre

    You can continue to create

    <h1><h2>...<h6> tags immediately after this and add new content.

    I did it a slightly different way and created span tags and css.

    In the head I wrote:

    [codebox]<style>
    .info{
    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    color: #0033CC;
    width: 100%;
    }

    </style>[/codebox]

    and then below embedded swf file

    [codebox]...
    allowfullscreen="false" allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" salign=""
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="640" align="middle" height="480">
    </p>
    <span class="info">The Moravian Academy is a wonderful place to wine, dine and meet people.</span>[/codebox]

    I have attached the file for you to look at
