    Shortcut Properties

    I would like to add a startup switch to the Word 2000 shortcut on my Windows Me desktop. Unfortunately, when I right-click the shortcut and choose "Properties," the "Target:" box is greyed out and contains "Microsoft Office 2000 Premium" instead of the target path where I could normally add the switch. Why in the world would they do this??? Does anyone know how I can add my startup switch?

    Re: Shortcut Properties

    Just create a new shortcut.
    Right_mouse on desktop -> New -> Shortcut
    Browse for Winword.exe and add it.
    I generally find it easier to click Finish at this point then go back and edit the shortcut, adding switches as required.
