Can someone help someone from "across the pond"?

<Jammie Dodgers are a popular British biscuit, made from shortbread and raspberry flavoured plum jam. They are produced by Burton's Foods at its factory in Cwmbran. The shortbread tastes like wet cardboard. >

    How does one pronounce Cwmbran?

Cwmbran is a Welsh name; the w is pronounced in Welsh as "oo", so "Coombran".

    Ahhh. Thanks, Hans.

I did recognoze the Welsh bit, but I didn't know there was a language that
    pronounced the "W" as a "double-u"!

    Let's see: Oo-elsh. That works!

OK, but... "Welsh" in the Welsh language itself is "Cymraeg".
