Is there a trick to having large embedded sound files in PPT 2007? The first time I tried to rehearse timings it took 2 minutes to begin. If I use an external MP3, instead of my cdex converted file to wAV it works perfectly. I need this embedded though. It's about 30MB.

Thanks Hans, however it won't let me embed an MP3. So I use cdex to convert the header to fool it ala http://www.technologytrish.co.uk/pptembedmp3.html

The problem is that it just takes so long to load that it's useless. I've been told this process works fine for most so I'm a bit confused...

30 Mb is huge for a Cdex Mp3. Is the original the same size?

    Yep. I know. It's a long presentation...
