I installed Office 2007 Small Business update to replace Office 2003 Professional.

I had Outlook as my email program.

When accessing Outlook I get a message telling me to install an additional file but when I run this I get a message saying that I have to uninstall previous versions of Windows Search. This is not listed on the Install/Uninstall list.

Web searches suggest that I tamper with the registry to fix this but I'm a bit leary to do this. I can not believe that Microsoft does not have a fix for this.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Can you post the exact text of the two messages? That will aid others in identifying the issue more specifically.

Also, does Outlook seem to start normally after the error, or does it refuse to run?
