    Hi there,

I'm trying to get Excel to count the number of days between 2 dates.

    How can I do that?

    Please advise. Thanks.

    Regards,

    -Alan

=A2-A1 as with any other numbers. It may set the cell result to Date as default, so just reformat to Number

There is a great "secret" function in Excel that can do this too.

    In a cell, type: =DATEDIF(A2, A1,"d")

This will give you the differenct between the two dates in days. (Use "m" for difference in months and "y" for years)

    Syntax: =DATEDIF(EarlyDate, Recent/CurrentDate, "Interval")
    Regards,
    Rudi
