I still have in my Automatic Updates, the following files to download.
    KB958690, KB960225, KB959772, KB960715.
What is the current status and should I download & install?
    Thanks,
    David

    Welcome (back?) to the Lounge!

I'd recommend installing all of them (although KB959772 isn't strictly necessary - it has to do with crippled downloaded MP3s). Better safe than sorry.

I assume that you're the same person as 'azgolfbum' who last logged in on February 27...

As far as I know, the next round of updates from Microsoft will come on the second Tuesday of April, i.e. April 14. No details of these updates have been released yet.

it is downloading these 3 updates KB960225, 958690, 959772 plus one called KB938464-v2 which seems to have messed up my internet access. i posted a question about it but seeing this exchange prompts me to ask if you have any idea why? others suggest system restore/removing them but you seem to think they are advisable. if you remove an update will microsoft send it again as an update or do they only try once?

Please do not hijack another thread. This might be valuable information for your other thread. Splitting the q&a acroos threads will likely cause something to be lost. Hans will certainly post something in the other thread if he thinks it is needed.

It'd be better to continue this discussion in your original thread, but I have installed all updates you mention and they haven't caused any problems. So I suspect your connection problems have another cause...
