You are correct! I enjoyed the "story"! I could use one of those four footed servers. I could have coffee served to me each morning before climbing out of bed!

You're absolutely correct! I'm smiling as I write this because I watched that video this morning and was positively thrilled with the "therapy" aspect that those pups provide to those seniors in the nursing homes. It's wonderful and I can attest to the accuracy of the therapy animal practice.

Coincidentally, today I had THREE examples of same at the nursing home. One lady has a miniature poodle that she brings to see her husband and other residents, including my wife, enjoy Fifi as much as her owner does. And Fifi loves the attention. The weather is splendid and we were sitting outside and when Fifi jumped in my wife's lap and started "kissing" her, my wife was beyond happiness.

Another lady, a retired Army combat nurse, brought her mixed breed to see her friend who is a resident and also a retired Army nurse. This little guy also spent as much time "visiting" with other residents as he did with his owner and her friend. Joy all around!

And lastly, one of the fellas who lives in the same wing as my wife, has a sister who brings his elderly CAT to see him and the sight of this man who can no longer speak, with his devoted feline sitting contentedly on his lap is enough to being tears to my eyes. She's a darling kitty and just sits there, snuggling with her owner and tolerating all the ooohs and ahhhs of the rest of us as we scratch her head or behind her ear.

Animal THERAPY is a phenomenal thing for the elderly!

No I hadn't but I have now! My hubby's little sister had a St. Bernard who was a sweetie too. I think he would have put up with anything and not given a care about it.
