I am running Vista 64 bit on my Dell XPS M1530, with 4 MB of RAM and IE 7 occasionally just hangs up, causing me to use Task Master / End Task. This doesn't happen on my 32 bit Vista machine, also running IE 7. And it doesn't happen in the 64 bit machine when I use Firefox.

Regrettably, some of the websites I need to visit are optimized for IE and don't work well in Firefox.

    Help?!

I hope you meant 4GB RAM.

Have you tried running IE7 with no add-ons (Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)?

    Have you tried 64-bit IE7?

Have you tried Internet Explorer 8: Home page?
