I am at a total loss. All of a sudden, I now get a message when I go to my Yahoo email that I am not able to log on to Yahoo messenger as I am logged on to it on another computer....I don't even use Yahoo Messanger.....I am wondering what has happened and what I can do about it....Has someone out there taken over my computer....I have Trend Micro and I have scanned my computer, etc, but nothing comes up that I have done anything wrong....Please help with suggestions as I am concerned about the security of my computer. Thank you, John

Have you logged in to Yahoo from another PC recently?

Have you tried re-booting? Have you tried contacting Yahoo?

Neither do I - I avoid all the Yahoo stuff like the plague, including email.

Trend Micro should be protecting you OK, but if you don't already have a malware product installed, you might want to take a look at Malwarebytes which many Loungers are using to scan for bad guys. Maybe it will tell you something.

Otherwise, is it possible to get in touch with the people at Yaho?

Yahoo Help should have an interest in resolving this issue for you since it involves a suspected hijacking of at least part of your Yahoo identity. Contact their support via the link I posted and tell them your situation. They should be able to determine who is using your Yahoo Messenger account without your knowledge and shut it down.
