    is the time local to the poster or is it set to the Loungers time?

    You control what's displayed to YOU in your Control Panel under Board Settings. See:

    Thanks. Does this mean the time I see in the reply, i.e., 10:12 for your reply, my time?

    Yes, except when you see the time in a quoted reply, such as the 05-Apr-2009 16:06 in this post, which displays the time of the post being quoted in the local time of the person quoting it.

    So your post was created at 16:06 my time.

    The time in the header of the QUOTE box is calibrated to the quoting poster's local time zone. The time is hard-coded into the content of the post, so it can't automatically adjust for different readers.
