    Pivot Table or other method (2000/SR1)

    The attached small file contains data on what furniture items a customer has purchased. I have a large number of customers in the main workbook.
    As you can see, a furniture items has a name, but comes in many item codes, as you can have a 2 seater, Sofa Bed etc.
    In column C I have created a subset of the name, so all items with the same name can be grouped together.
    What I want to do is to total the units by name, then sort the data in descending order of the subtotals.
    I have very little exposure to Pivot Tables, and could not produce a suitable layout. Perhaps Pivot tables are not the correct tool.
    I will appreciate your assistance.
