I want to insert an accent over 2 letters, u and r, such as those appearing in dictionaries to highlight pronunciation. I have a table of symbols, plus the Alt key to insert letters with a symbol attached to a single letter, but two letters has me struggling. Is there a way to do this, a backspace perhaps?

You can use the { ADVANCE } field to move characters so that they overlap.

If you go to this post
    wopr.com/index.php?showtopic=761504&hl=
download the file that I placed there, and follow the instructions.
You will be surprised with the ease and flexibility of this method. I have printed the file, laminated it and keep it close at all times
