Every time I use "save as" or save a new document Excel 2003 prompts me to select my desired location and name as usual, and as soon as I click OK it immediately asks me to do it again even though it saved the first time properly. This is a definite annoyance and at least a couple of people at my company have the problem.

I apologize if this has been answered in the thread already but was unable to locate a related posting.

Please let me know if you have any ideas or a solution!

    Office 2003 Professional
    Windows XP SP3

    Thanks!

This sounds like an add-on to me. Try following the directions in Systematic Approach to behavioral Problems in XL.

Well that was quick, I never thought to try the add-ins. Sure enough the second add-in I disabled made the problem go away. The unfortunate thing is that the add-in is a part of our accounting software and it won't function properly without it.

Looks like we will just have to put up with the behavior and see if our vendor has a solution.

    Thanks for your input!
