    I've just noticed that in some of the threads I have participated in that I have not received additional responses in the thread. Why not? What might cause this?

    If you subscribe to a topic, you should be able to double-check your topic notification settings in your control panel. Note that for older topics you will need to increase the date range setting at the bottom of that pane.

    I DO have individual email notification enabled.

    I assume you mean "Immediate Email Notification" (as opposed to "Delayed Email Notification"). I don't use topic notifications myself, so hopefully someone more familiar with the potential glitches will chime in.
