I wish to search out and replace all the bullets in a document with a "real character" such as an X. I can't seem to find the code for a bullet, I've looked in every option I could think of and obviously need some help on this one...

Now the back ground is this...

I've been sent a word document that has a table in it. When the table was created, instead of using a real character, bullets were inserted in the chart. Now when I attempt to copy/paste the table into other applications, the bullets do not transfer as real characters.

The search and replace feature cannot find the bullet in order to replace it either.

What do the experts propose is a solution for this little problem?

    Any guidance is appreciated.

    - Jenn

    Try this:
    - Press Alt+F11 to activate the Visual Basic Editor.
    - Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window.
    - Type the following line then press Enter:

    ActiveDocument.ConvertNumbersToText

    - This will replace ALL bullets and numbering with literal characters.
