printing page numbers

When I insert page numbers in a header they appear to work e.g. Page 1/4 then 2/4 etc, BUT when I print them they appear Page 1/1, then 2/2, 3/3 and 4/4. I'm using Word 2000 with a HP 560 printer. It used to work OK, but now isn't. Has anyone got any ideas?

You need to download wdac97.exe - the Mail Merge security patch. I just had this pushed down to all our users and it fixes the page numbering/section numbering problem.

This is a Word Bug. Partially fixed in Word 2000 SR1.

Thanks for the advice on page numbers. I haven't got the SR update yet, but reversing the order of page printing did the trick!
