Using the “Underscore” key (Key over the dash) to create a solid line. Now in 2007 this key creates a dashed line, not a solid line the way it did in Word 2003?. Is there any way to produce a solid line with this key in Word 2007?

It depends on the font you use.

Joe - thank you. I just tried the underscore key again with calibri and Times New Roman and got a solid line. But, I thought I was using Calibri before. Can you tell me any more about which fonts work or don't work.

    Thank you again.

Depending on your needs, you could switch to another method of creating a line, such as an underlined tab or a paragraph border.

Sorry I don't know the details of the fonts. I just selected a couple to try.

Joe - thanks again. I am set. I see that many fonts work, including Calibri and Times New Roman. So I am ok now.
