    Hi
Before you wrote that, I was under the impression it couldn't be done. Since your browser interprets the HTML and you are showing the results of the coding in your display, a lock would need to be able somehow to cripple your browser. I'm still thinking that if you can save a page to your HD, you can view the source code. Trying to view on-line might well be a different ball-game.

Does anyone have a sample of this kind of page we can refer to?

    Check <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright.htm>http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright.htm</A> for a script to disable the right_click method.
I don't think it will stop View | Source though.

Check out this site. On my browser, anyway, I can't View, Source. And I don't know how they did it either!

Oh wait, now I CAN view it, and I can't get the fluke to repeat. I can now view it in I.E. 5.5 and Netscape 4.7.
Well, I didn't see anything on a quick glance-through of the HTML, so it could have been a fluke.

There are javascriptlets that will disable View Source via the mouse, but that's about all I've been able to find.

If you search for a song at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.lyrics.ch/index.htm>http://www.lyrics.ch/index.htm</A> you can't pick up the song lyrics, by right click or source or printing.

They are using a java applet to display the content.

This piece of Shareware may do what you want :

    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.webattack.com/get/htmlguard.shtml/>HTML Guard</A>

Later : except that for some reason within a very short time of putting it up, it has been removed. Sorry.

Try searching on the site for it - I was able to locate it that way.

    Great research!

Yep, found it ok. I wonder why they did it that way? Only thing I can think of is to stop people linking directly, but far more would miss it altogether.
