    Is there a quick way to find the external references in a lage workbook?

    Hi Aheron,

    Yes. Assuming you're looking for referenced Excel workbooks, you could do a 'Find' for formulae containing '.xls]'. Do note though that this has to be done for each worksheet and won't find external references that exist as defined Names (which you can check via Insert|Name|Define).

    Of course, if all you want is the names of the referenced workbooks, look under Edit|Links.

    Thanks, I give that a go and see if that finds my reference. They are all to external workbook, none are by range names.
