    URL glitch (Excel 2000)

I'm using an Excel spreadsheet as a fill-in form. The overall spreadsheet
is protected (to protect the formulas), but the entry areas are, of course,
unlocked. When I copy an URL from an internet site into an unlocked cell,
the cell becomes locked. Any fixes?

It could be that it just appears protected when you try to access it via the mouse. Have you tried entering the cell by using the Tab or Cursor keys.

You can also right click on the link if yoy want to delete it.

If none of the above help, could you post a sample worksheet.
