So we've got a new lounge, which seems to be working just tickity-boo! However we seem to have lost our mascot - Lex! I seem to recall that Lex's girlfriend was also an infrequent visitor.

I miss his early morning shower, keep-fit jogging, and mid-morning oj experience.

So is he hiding, has he been kidnapped, are the 'powers-that-be' whisked him him off to a secret island???

The old Lounge used heavily customized software. Lex's appearance was the result of a script written exclusively for Woody's Lounge. This, and many other tweaks, made the old Lounge a uniquely user-friendly and fun site. But it was slow, not very stable and difficult to maintain.
We've moved to a much more "standard" environment. Currently, it is less user-friendly and perhaps less "fun" than the old Lounge - no animated Lex, for example. But it's much more stable, easier to maintain and generally faster.
We're planning to improve the "look-and-feel" of the new Lounge. This won't happen overnight though. Stay tuned!

I think this has been misidentified. It is, in fact, a photograph (through a microscope) of a tiny flea on the surface of a yellow Smartie (check out the one in the centre, from which the flea has been removed).

How can you tell the flea has been removed if it's not there ???

    What is this, Fridenseday?
Obviously if the flea was there it wouldn't have been removed.
Bracket both sides of the equator and apply NOT to both sides.

Of course, if the flea had flown, it would have fleed, rather than have been removed.

Following your pretzel logic..... how do we know that the flea was ever there ???

And.... if it was never there, then it could neither have been removed nor have fled (or fleed )

It was in Chris's first photograph!

(This is all very reminiscent of the "What Time is it, Eccles?" Goon Show sketch... Here's a YouTube animation.)

Hmmm. An apparently reasonable response from Hans and a bunch of smartie-ass responses from fellow loungers.

I mentioned Hans' reply to a few conspiracy theory people I know and the said "Well, he would say that"

I remain convinced that Lex (and his girlfriend) have been kidnapped and are being held hostage aboard the space shuttle. I just hope he doesn't become the Hubble mascot!

Bring back our Mascot .... !!!!
