I decided to upgrade my PC from XP Pro MCE to Vista Home Premium. The upgrade failed, and it trashed my XP installation so thoroughly that I tried a Repair Installation of XP. Windows couldn't even "see" my old installation, so I ended up designating a new Windows directory and doing a fresh install there.

I have a full backup, using Retrospect, from the day before the failed upgrade. But Retrospect insists on restoring the files I want to my "old" My Documents folder. And when I try to open that folder, I get Access Denied. If I could access that folder, I would move its contents to my new My Documents folder, and get on with reinstalling my programs How do I access it?
