I have in the autoupdate window, three items.

    KB951847, KB890830, and a Microsoft office compatibility pack-SP2

What should I do with these? And how do I get rid of these or any that won't use and get them out of this window?

    Thanks again on this subect,

    David

The first one is .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. I'd install it.
The second is the Malicious Software Removal Tool. Microsoft releases a new version each month. I'd run it - it might help and it won't harm.
The last one is an update for the converter that lets you open Office 2007 files in earlier versions of Office. Since you have the compatibility pack, it's a good idea to keep it up to date.

If you have compelling reasons for not installing one or more of these updates, go to Microsoft Update, select Custom Install and specify that you want to hide those updates.

    Thanks, Hans.

Everything seems to be running normal after installing. Nice to NOT see the little gold shield in my tray!!
