Disable ability for Objects to be Imported into an (Access 97 SR-2)

    Hello.

I have seen a database that was set up in such a way that when, from another database, the GET EXTERNAL DATA/IMPORT feature did not allow objects to be imported. They were still visible, however, they were greyed out/disabled. I don't think that Security was utilized on the database and it was an .mdb format. Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

The long and sort...I have a unsecured database that has the shift key and the menus disabled...So it is secure in that sense. However, I don't want any to be able to import any of the objects into a new database. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Sean

I know you said it was in mdb format, but it sure sounds like from what you're saying that the database was in mde format - you'll get that if you try to import anything other than tables and queries from a database in mde format (note that the "Files of Type: Microsoft Access" in the file selection screen will show both mdb's and mde's).
