I have two networked PCs both running XP Home SP3. Recently because of a virus one PC had to have Windows reinstalled. On this PC the icons for zip files in WIndows Explorer have changed from a zipped folder to a pile of 3 multi-coloured books. It is not a problem, I am just curious as to why. My other PC still has the 'zipped folder' icon. More seriously, the PC that wasnt altered now has a crippled Help and Support window. Only half of the information appears on the opening screen and entering anything in the search box results in nothing. Any clues, anyone?

2009-06-08 06:03Zip: apparently the .zip extension has become associated with another program, perhaps WinRAR. See Restore the Windows XP native Zip file integration.
