A client has sent me an inquiry that I am not sure how to answer:

"I am trying to autofill a checkbox form control down a column and Iím wondering if there is a way for the cell link to autofill at the same time. For example, if the checkbox is in cell C2 and the result is displayed in cell P2, I would like the result display for cell C3 in P3. Iíve tried to establish a pattern by inputting the first 5 or 10, but the pattern gets repeated, what am I doing wrong Ė is what Iím trying to accomplish even possible? Iím working with Excel 2007."

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

    That is not possible, unfortunately.

But you can set the linked cell using code, e.g.

    Code:
    Dim r As Long
    For r = 1 to 10
      ActiveSheet.Shapes("Check Box " & r).ControlFormat.LinkedCell = "A" & r
    Next r
