    Date Field (2000)

    Is there a way to put a date field in a spreadsheet that is automatically updated to the current date when the worksheet is printed?

    Would "=now()" do the trick?

    Re: Date Field (2000)

    Can you be a little more specific about what you are trying to accomplish? You can use the formula:

    <pre>=NOW()
    </pre>

    That will put the date and time into the cell which will be updated every time the sheet is recalculated.

    If you want the date in cell A1 on Sheet1 that only updates when you print the sheet, then you can put the following code into the Workbook Before Print event routine:

    <pre>Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean)
    ActiveWorkbook.Worksheets("Sheet1").Range("A1") = Date
    End Sub
    </pre>
