Another Lounger sent me a PM, and I replied, but don't see my reply in the Sent items folder. Should it be there?

Ah - I can answer my own question, having rooted around in the Help a bit more. I should have checked the box to save the reply in my sent items.

Not if you didn't tick the check box "Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder":

If you want this check box to be ticked by default, go to Controls > Board Settings and select Yes for "Do you wish to put all sent PMs in your Sent folder by default?":

Oh, right. My researches hadn't discovered that possibility. I'll do that.

Hans - I've tried to do that, but the drop down in question only seems to offer me No as an option, even though I am offered Yes and No on the others!

Oh dear, you're correct (I had never actually tried to select an option there)

I'll see if I can find out why...

Yes, it is strange. In Firefox, I have both choices available, but in IE8, "No" is the only choice.

As Rebel does with IE8, I only get the "NO" option. That is the only drop down on the Board options page where this occurs. This happens running the Lounge with compatibility mode on & off.

I just tested it from IE6 and that also has No as the only option.

So my experience is that I get both options with Firefox, but only No with IE8 and Opera.

... so I changed it to Yes using Firefox. Then I logged back in using Opera (my usual browser). The result is that in Opera it still shows my preference as No, and it still doesn't offer me Yes as an option, but in fact if I compose a new PM in Opera the box is already ticked!

    This is really weird!

As you can see below, the dropdown is also drawn differently (slightly less wide) in IE8. Apparently the others are wide enough for both "Yes" and "No", this one just accomodates "No".

WOW! That IS weird. I hadn't noticed the difference in width of the dropdowns until you pointed it out.
