Internet explorer continually "stops working" and then the sending report message comes up and then the restarting message. After browsing through the similar posts, I checked to make sure addons were not an issue. Rebooted and then checked the problem section as described. That is below. It is similar to the errors that i get in Windows (not internet) explorer when trying to organize my files.

I'm running Vista Home Premium for what's it is worth.

    Any suggestions?

First, please post your Windows Explorer error in the Vista forum if you have not already done that. You'll most likely get more Vista users to see it there.

Is your PC up-to-date with patches including SP-2?

Does this happen on a particular website?

You might consider installing IE8 - Internet Explorer 8: Home page.

I have Vista x64 Home Premium. The same thing happens to me as well. Up to date on all patches and am running IE8. The problem happens intermittently every couple of days.

Many if not most IE problems are from addons. Have you tried running without addons - Start | Run | iexplore.exe -extoff

I'll try that. I have few addons and it happens so infrequently that I haven't chased the problem. Since Windows explorer does the same thing, I was imagining that there might be a root cause. Patiently waiting on Windows 7.
