I am running Windows XP Home SP3. Each time I do a defrag I get a message saying some files could not be defragmented and I should view the report. There is a panel in the report headed "Files That Did Not Fragment" but it is always empty. Is this of concern?

The usual answer is that this message relates to "system files" (system restore points, the page file, and so on), and those files which are already in use. You'll find hectares (acres) of stuff on a Google search, very little of which is particularly enlightening.

Simply ignore the message (yourself), or use a different defragmenter (which ignore the matter entirely)!
