    Is there a way to create a dynamic date in the title of a chart? Thanks.

    You can do it like this, with a cell as intermediate:

    In a cell on a worksheet, enter the formula

    =TODAY()

    (or another formula, if you want to return a different date than today).
    Make sure that your chart has a chart title.
    Click on the chart, then click on the chart title.
    Click in the formula bar or press F2.
    Point to the cell with the formula, then press Enter.
    Voila!

    Thanks Hans. Do I need an "=" sign in the formula bar? Also, is it possible to have something like "This chart was created on [Date]"?

    Yes, you do need an = in the formula bar.

    If you want something more elaborate than just the date: you can't use complex formulas for the chart title itself, but you can refer to a cell with a complex formula. So you have to modify the formula in the cell. For example, instead of =TODAY(), you could use

    ="This chart was created on "&TEXT(TODAY(),"dddd mmmm d, yyyy")
