Passing Open Parameters (VB)

Goal: I need to pass an open parameter or perhaps a switch of some kind to a VB .exe to tell it where to find stuff it needs, i.e., Database Path/DatabaseName. This procedure will be running without a user interface, but nevertheless needs to be flexible enough to use different information for each instance.

You could use a small text file to store the info, and have the VB read it there. Or you could store it on the registry (less felxible but more secure).

Perhaps I misunderstood your question but if you're asking how to read a parameter passed to the compiled VB program, the answer is to use the Command() function. If you need to pass multiple parms, you might try the Split command in conjunction with Command.
