    Hello everone,

I had to reinstall my operating system etc. about four weeks ago. Fortunately I had the original install discs as well as the ones for SP2 and SP3. After one false start I was able to get the computer up and running including SP2 and SP3.

I don't use automatic updates but visit the Microsft Update site frequently and dowloaded all the security updates

Today, Microsoft Update said I needed to install Service Pack 3! I would have thought that I would have received that message several weeks ago if I had not installed it after restoring my system.

Has anyone run into this and is there a fix?

    Thanks
