So I need to replace all instances of "Notebook" and "Desktop" with "NB" and "DT" within 5 specific tables in a 103 page report. I cannot replace those terms with the abbreviations within the remainder of the report, though. I didn't see any info. in the MS Word 2007 help database about how to do a selective CTRL+F>replace, and I certainly don't want to a)do a document wide replace, or have to replace each instance in the tables manually.

    Anyone?

If you select a table (or any text range), then perform a Replace All, Word should ask you whether you want to continue outside the selection. Just answer No.
