CD reading problem: we have received a CD (A Verbatim 700Mb CD-R) that when we try to copy the 1 (small) file from it to our hard disk returns the following error message: "Cannot copy D G Hazell - 2008-2009: cannot read from source file or disk" Anyone have an idea as to why this is happening please? We operate WXpHESp3.

What is the file name and extension that you are trying to copy?
Have you tried opening it from the CD?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Do other CDs work OK?

You might want to try removing the filters mentioned in this thread: CD/DVD lower and upper filter unsigned drivers installed silently - Vista Forums.
