This may seem a bit of a weird question. I manage the computer training program at our local senior citizen center. What I'm looking for is some way to force a default desktop setup on bootup. At present, the students leave their desktops cluttered with all sorts of "stuff", and this confuses the next set of students as their lesson materials assume the default. The instructors are supposed to make sure they're all restored, but that rarely happens. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), our instructors are all volunteers and with volunteers one doesn't have absolute control over their performance. So some way to restore a default setup eath time they boot would be a wonderful solution to the problem.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Check out Windows SteadyState. It is specifically for your situation.
