    Have any one any idea to format numerics with commas in indian style.

    i.e. n,nn,nn,nn,nn,nnn.nn

    not nnn,nnn,nnn,nnn.nn

    If you have numbers with at most 9 digits before the decimal point, you can use the following custom format:

    [>=10000000]#\,##\,##\,##0.00;[>=100000]#\,##\,##0.00;##,##0.0

    If you have larger numbers, this custom format will fail; you then have two options:

    - Enter the unformatted numbers in one column, and use formulas to display formatted text in another column.

    or

    - Use VBA code to apply a varying custom format to cells depending on their values.
