Any suggestions as to why, [with the IN folder on screen] when I try to move or copy emails to another folder they simply disappear from the IN box without trace. This is a most irritating problem that causes me no end of inconvenience as they don't even appear in the Deleted folder from where they could be retrieved. Hopefully yours Dave.

How are you trying to do this, "click an drag", "right click and select copy" and etc?

Yep Dave... I simply right > the target email in the IN folder ...selecting "Move / Copy to folder" ....select folder......then OK
sometimes the item just disappears without trace...... one of those intermittent faults that has not logical pattern to it. So I have just experimented by creating a new folder [AA] which has positioned itself just below that of the "In" and upon opening the "IN" box I click Ctrl+ A and am able to move them en-block to it. Seems illogical I know but it works so I give up on that one. A slightly different question but still to do with OE, how do I delete a folder that I created for experimenting purposes but no longer really need? Thanks again Dave.

Right-click the folder and select Delete from the popup menu?
