    Unhappy

Is there a way to apply a custom tool bar to a Word Document that will allow me to insert macro recorded tools to a ribbon?

Hmmm, I'm not sure I know exactly what you mean. If you use Word VBA's built-in CommandBars collection to create a custom toolbar in code, it will appear in the Add-ins section of the ribbon.

If you want to change other aspects of the ribbon, you will need to go beyond the built-in methods. This thread has some references on ribbon customization: [topic="763843"]Word 2007 Toolbar (Word)[/topic].
