    I've gotta tell ya, I don't know anything about the two sites you linked to BUT that hand gesture is most TOUCHING! One thing you can be sure of, I will USE it in the future when I greet a veteran, ANY veteran.

    I'm kinda surprised that I haven't SEEN the sign before. As you've probably gathered from my Lounge profile and posts, I too am a veteran who spends every day with HUNDREDS of veterans of all eras and I'm surprised that I've never seen this hand signal before.

    For a long, long time I've been using the traditional "hand salute" when I greet a fellow veteran, along with a "Thank You For Serving" comment. This seems to do the job, but I'll be trying this "new" hand signal out starting tomorrow to see if anyone recognizes it.
