    I love Google and I don't mind Microsoft having some competition but I wonder if Google isn't just becoming another Microsoft? This latest announcement makes me wonder even more.

    I read the article but did not understand what they meant by saying "the OS would be available from open source license".

    I don't see it in MY future. Tried Chrome when it first came out and it lasted about 2 hours on my system. Couldn't stand it but maybe others will adopt it? That's what competition is all about.

    I think Bob (Viking) meant that he tried the Chrome browser and didn't like it, so he thinks it improbable that he'll like Chrome OS.
