    Red face

    I think there are, ahem, a few of us here in The Lounge who will get a laugh out of today's Dilbert, from The official Dilbert website

    I lucked out with that one.

    I didn't start wearing a full beard until after I was retired.

    Me too. About 8 years after I retired - when my son and daughter-in-law announced we were gonna get our FIRST grandchild. I grew my first beard in the Spring of 2000, more or less teasing her that it would be a good luck charm for her to have a boy. And, have a boy she did - he's named after his two grandfathers (William Albert aka Billy!)

    Al, the 2 image links to your website now throw up a prompt for a username and password:
    [attachment=84663:y.png]
    After canceling the prompt twice (once for each link), the images can't be displayed, obviously.

    Hmmm, I just tried and didn't have a problem. Do you suppose it was a momentary glitch at my web host? (1 & 1) Also, what are the TWO links you mention? There's only one in my Lounge sig.

    Please let me know if there's still a problem and I'll contact 1 & 1 ...

    It must have been a temporary glitch - it's OK now.

    The problem was caused by the two smileys [attachment=84664:x.png]
    They now show correctly again.

    Aha, thanks. I thought you were talking about the link in my sig. Surprisingly, I'm not aware of any outages of any duration since I went to 1 & 1 but they may have taken the server off line for maintenance or something. Since mine is a "pleasure/hobby" only site, I'm hardly ever aware of down time.

    Whatever it was, it didn't last very long, fortunately.

    After Hans had posted his comment, I tried to follow the link in your signature and got a login prompt, followed by diversion to a page saying I had no permissions. It all works now though.

    Must be something funny about the server behavior at 1 & 1. I'll write and ask them about it. As an aside, I keep my Fx homepage set on my web site and frequently during the day, hit the "home" key just to make sure it's still there. That where I got the opinion that it's rarely off line. Thanks...

    Steve Hocking is correct, the problem has reappeared. Screenshot:
