    Workbooks.Open Filename:="C:\2.xls"
    End Sub

    i use this code a woook from other.

    is possoble to maintain active 2.xls and hide it?

    You can hide it with the line:

    Workbooks("2.xls").Windows(1).Visible = False

    and it will remain open and you can still work and modify it. It will not be the active workbook, since to be active a workbook must be visible.
