    when i try and open a e-mail attachment i get a window pop up saying no program is associated with file set association in program association options which i can't find. could anybody help me thank you.

    What type of file is this attachment, as the required program may need to be installed?

    Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Yes but only a trial version in office 2007

    If the email attachment is a power point, it should have an extension of .pps. Right click the "paperclip" icon and choose "save as".
    Save the file to a convenient place such as Desktop or My Documents.
    Go to that location and right click the saved file. Use "open with" as a choice and look for Power Point to open the file.

    try the article you mentioned but when i changed show to open when i right click on the file and click on open with power point is no longer on the list so i have followed the article and reversed the setting and power point reapears in the list so thanks for you help in this matter.
