For some reason, Word crashes immediately after displaying the Splash Screen. This only occurs in one profile, if I login to my machine (Win2K Pro) as a different user, everything is fine.
I have deleted all temporary files and still it crashes.

Likely, both users probably use different normal.dot files. I would rename the normal.dot file for the user that's crashing.
