    Thumbs up

I'm on Vista Ultimate with IE7 & 8. I suspect cause was failed update of Vista SP2, because since then, NO sound.

Do have Sigma Tel and XAudio-whatever, and in fact, all drivers OK & Up-to-date.

Clicking on Volume icon brings insert with three categories and four items; all noted "working".
May be, but no sound whatever, wherever.

Apparently I'm not alone with this frustrating problem. At several Forums similar complaints, regardless of cause, but no solutions.

Surely some of you experienced members can provide cause/cure. Thank you.

1.) Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers?
2.) Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the sound card?
3.) Have you tried reverting to an older version of the drivers?
